It's your girl, Ms Ileane, and today I want to continue with sharing some of the terminology and things that we need to know as Amazon influencers. And the reason I want to do this is I remember when I first started becoming active in the program and conversations were going on and really things were just flying over my head and I I didn't know what some of the folks were talking about and you know I like to ask questions so I would ask questions. But sometimes I would get a little confusing answers. So let's set the record straight. Today we're talking about deep links. And oh, before I get started, I do want to share with you one of my favorites. And this is the Lan uh glowy lip balm. And goodness knows
I need need it right now. And if I pronounced that incorrectly, don't worry. There will be links where you can shop for this in the description of this video. Let me make sure you can see the color of it. Here you go. I don't want to put too much on.
That's probably a better way to show you. And yeah, that might be just a little too much, but good thing I have something weird. Wipe off the excess. And thank you. Thank you so much for joining. Also, I want to mention that I did do a video um that was talking about ASINs, which is another one of those terminologies that gets thrown around a lot in the Amazon influencer circles. And you know, Amazon may even use that terminology every now and then. and not knowing that some folks don't even know what it is. So, the ASIN I did a short I will definitely leave the link for that as well. And like I said, this is going to be kind of like an ongoing series. And so, this talk today is about deep linking. Deep linking. Why do Amazon influencers love deep linking? so much. First, let me explain what it is. If we share our links on social media, so for example, I will have links in the description that will go to Amazon. If I don't use a deep link, when you tap on that link, if you're on your phone, it's going to open up in a browser and I just realized that might not be close enough. And that might not work for you because on your browser, let's say if you're on an iPhone, if the link opens up in a browser, you're going to get either get Safari or you're going to get Chrome and it's going to mean you're going to have to log in. You might not have your login saved on your phone and then you're just like, "Oh, forget it." You know, that lipstick was cute and all that, but it's not that serious. And you may not go through and continue with the purchase. Okay. Now, if you're on Android, same thing. it will open up in chrome and you're not going to complete with the purchase because it's like, you know, it's lipstick. I I can live without it. Now, if it's something really serious, something that you really really need it, you will probably go and hunt down what is my Amazon login so that you can, you know, complete the purchase. But at the same time, if you do that, that means the tracking has disappeared. So, Amazon doesn't know that I sent you over to purchase the item. Okay. So, uh so what deep linking does is it opens the app. So, I put a link in the description to the fingernail polish that I have on, which is the OPI, or to the Lan lip dewy balm. It's going to the deep link will open up inside the Amazon app and it's going to open up right to that product page and you get to choose your colors or if you want to buy three of them, send some to your girlfriends or to your sisters or whatever. That is the benefit of deep linking.
